The Packers season is hanging by a thread. Up until this season, the Packers had never lost back-to-back games under head coach Matt LaFleur. They now find themselves amid a three-game losing streak. After a loss, what the coach has to say matters and LaFleur’s comments have been predictable. After the loss, Matt LaFleur gave the same old uninspiring comments.
Matt LaFleur Gives Same Old Uninspiring Comments
"I thought we battled to the final play; I was proud of the effort there. It's just that we've got to coach better, we've got to play better, we've got to execute better. It's just not good enough." Matt LaFleur.

When I was a kid, before church my friends and I would create a bingo card of what we thought the pastor would say. We found he was fairly predictable and we could accurately choose certain phrases based on past evidence. This is the feeling I am getting with Matt LaFleur. “It’s not good enough” and “We’ve got to play better” are comments fans have been hearing for three weeks. You could tell me Matt LaFleur said these things and I would have no idea what week the comments came from. It’s all talk and no action. At this point, Lafleur is coming off as uninspiring with these comments.
The Team Reflects LaFleur’s Attitude
Any time I watch sports, I look at the body language of the team. The body language of this team is uninspiring. They just don’t have any energy and it very much reflects these postgame comments. I think anyone who watched the game thinks the coaching and play have to be better. I’d like to see LaFleur get fired up! Call some people out! Show some passion! Maybe showing some emotion would help the team respond differently. At this point, try anything different than the same old comments.
It is hard to see a world where Matt LaFleur gets fired this season. He just signed an extension. His winning percentage is still historic despite the three-game losing streak. To give him no credit for the past three years is foolish. However, you often learn more about a person when they lose rather than when they win. We are learning a lot about LaFleur in this losing streak. As of this moment, we are learning he is a person with very little fight who sticks to the same old uninspiring script. Next week is a tough matchup against Buffalo. LaFleur has his hands full this week as they make the necessary adjustments. If they don’t, expect similar comments a week from now.

Start from the top. Get some damn receivers that can catch the ball. Not rocket science.
I agree that the receiving corp is shallow. Making a Christmas wish for Odell Beckum Jr. and claiming he is a leader is laughable. The lack of direction is from the top. LaFluer seems to not have changed game strategy after Adams left for the Raiders. Now, I do think that pre-season, most of the key players were there or about to rejoin active status. I believe that the talent is there. I think that the biggest deficiency is the defense, namely Don Barry. The reason, how does the team have first half leads only to fall in the second half? One can scream that the QB or Offensive line or receivers need more output. But, for most of the opponents points, the offense didn’t give away the game. It was the defense which allowed the other team to score. This was due to inadequate game calls from Barry. Just as with any supervised group, the leader is responsible. His feeble attempt to blame Walker shows his lack of character. It is on LaFluer’s shoulders and the Defense needs a new coordinator, because after all the losses, Stevie Wonder could see this.
