Former Green Bay Packers Safety Chris Banjo Announces Retirement
Banjo turns 33 years old today and announced that he would be retiring from the NFL. He expressed thankfulness for his time in the NFL and the people he met. Banjo was in Green Bay from 2013-16. For the most part, he played on special teams but did see some time at safety as injuries piled up. He then spent time in New Orleans and in Arizona before calling it quits in the NFL.

Memorable Plays In Green Bay
Special teams are not the realm where the Packers have many memorable plays. However, Banjo did make one memorable play in his time. Against the Bears, a punt was blocked and Chris Banjo was the one to recover. It was another big play in the series against the Bears and helped continue the dominance that the Packers have had over their rival in recent years. Ultimately, Banjo was a reliable player that Green Bay could count on to play decent at his position.
At 33, it will be interesting to see what Banjo does in retirement. He could go the route of coaching or do something like former Packer Blake Martinez did. Whatever he decides, he will always be remembered for his time in Green Bay.
