The Packers’ secondary has been plagued with injuries the previous few weeks. Cornerback Jaire Alexander has missed three games this season as he battles a back injury. The Packers had good news last week with cornerback Eric Stokes being activated off the PUP list before their Week 7 game against the Denver Broncos.
The Green Bay Packers place another DB on IR
However, Stokes had to leave the game due to a hamstring injury after playing in a handful of snaps. According to Matt Schneidman with The Athletic, an announcement was made Wednesday by head coach Matt LaFleur Stokes will be headed back to injured reserve this week due to the injury.
Eric Stokes is going back on IR, Matt LaFleur says. The 2021 first-round pick played four special teams snaps Sunday in his first game since Week 9 last season. It’s a hamstring injury for Stokes. That would explain why CB Robert Rochell was signed to the 53.

The Packers made three roster moves Wednesday, with Stokes and Savage being placed on IR. The Packers signed Robert Rochelle of the Carolina Panthers practice squad. They promoted Corey Ballentine to the 53-man roster and signed Zyon Gilbert to the practice squad.
That’s not ideal for a Packers team about to play a red-hot Kirk Cousins this weekend.
