Davante Adams and the Las Vegas Raiders ended their season today. Their last game of the season came in the form of a 31-13 loss at home against the Kansas City Chiefs. The Raiders finished 6-11 on the year and were eliminated from playoff contention before week 18 ever kicked off. However, that doesn’t mean that Davante Adams didn’t prove that once again he is one of the best wide receivers in football.
Davante Adams’ Final 2022 Stat Line Is Still Ridiculously Good
- 16 games played in, 16 games started
- 180 targets (most in career)
- 101 receptions (4th most in career)
- 1,516 receiving yards (2nd most in career)
- 14 touchdowns (2nd most in career)
- 15 yards per reception
- Entering the final week of the season he was 10th in receptions, third in receiving yards, and leading the NFL in touchdown catches.
Looking Back At Complete Trade Summary
As a result of the trade and NFL Draft, the Davante Adams trade between the Raiders and Packers can be summarized as such:
Raiders Receive
- Davante Adams
Packers Receive
- De’Vondre Campbell
- Rasul Douglas
- Sammy Watkins
- Jarran Reed
- Christian Watson
- Quay Walker
The money Green Bay saved allowed them to re-sign De’Vondre Campbell and Rasul Douglas. It also allowed them to sign free agents WR Sammy Watkins and DL Jarran Reed. The two draft picks Green Bay received resulted in WR Christian Watson and LB Quay Walker (after trades happened on draft day).
While it has been extremely surprising to see both the Packers and Raiders struggle this year, the Packers are still in playoff contention. Winning on Sunday Night Football against the Lions will secure the seventh seed in the NFC. The Raiders were eliminated from playoff contention after their 37-34 OT loss to the 49ers in Week 17. Now there is uncertainty in Las Vegas who will even be their starting quarterback in 2023 and beyond.
