The Packers have been a hot topic of discussion after week 4. They end the first quarter of the season 3-1 and yet analysts do not really know what to think about them. Both the offense and defense have had their struggles but have made big plays in big moments. The offense especially has struggled but one analyst isn’t panicking. Dan Orlovsky had a bold take on the Packers offense on ESPN’s Get Up this morning.
Dan Orlovsky Has A Bold Take On The Packers Offense

On Get Up this morning, the question was posed whether the analysts were encouraged or discouraged by the Packers win over the Patriots. Dan Orlovsky did not hold back his opinion. He said the offense is going to be better “than when it was last year with Davante Adams“. With so many analysts being down on the Packers offense, Orlovsky sees the potential. Each week the Packers have improved and looked more comfortable. Romeo Doubs has caught a touchdown pass in two straight games. Christain Watson scored his first touchdown this week. Allen Lazard and Randall Cobb keep coming up in big moments. Aaron Jones and AJ Dillon are one of the best running back tandems in the league. The offensive line is coming into focus. This offense is going to look very different later in the season.
Early Season Struggles Are Common For The Packers
The Packers have done this the past couple of years. They sputter out of the gate before finding their footing later in the season. This season is a near carbon copy of last season and that team when 13-4. In the stretch that they are in, the Packers have a chance to string some wins together. The fact that they are 3-1 and haven’t played their best football should scare teams. The steady improvement of the offense is a good thing. Honestly, it’s okay that the Packers are not playing their best ball right now. They should be playing their best ball in January.
I love Dan Orlovsky’s bold take on the Packers offense. The fact that he thinks they could be better than last year seems crazy to most people. However, the development of the rookies is ahead of schedule. The veterans are stepping up. It may take some time but the Packers offense will be firing on all cylinders very soon.
