Colin Cowherd has been skeptical of the Packers heading up into the 2023 season, but he gave them their due on Tuesday on his show The Herd. Every Tuesday during the NFL season, he always releases his Herd hierarchy. To a surprise, Cowherd ranked the Packers as the 10th-best team in the NFL heading into Week 2 of the 2023 NFL season.
They defeated the Chicago Bears 38-20 on the road in Week 1. Cowherd discussed on his show was the Green Bay Packers deserved to be ranked there and said:
“Jordan Love led all quarterbacks with a 123 passer rating, and he was perfect and third and fourth downs. Situationally, they were fantastic. They have the youngest roster in the NFL, average age 25. They’re gonna make mistakes and be imperfect, they’re really young at receiver and tight end. But I will say, they were the second highest scoring team. I thought they were organized. I thought it felt like Matt LaFleur’s team more than Aaron’s and I like what I saw.”
“I worry about this team the stretch but on Week 1 of Herd Hierarchy, they blew me away.”

Colin Cowherd Gave the Packers There Due For Good Reason
Green Bay had a very efficient game this past week against the Bears, and they will look to do the same in Week 2 on the road against the Atlanta Falcons. Another team from the NFC North that Cowherd had ranked in his NFL power rankings was the Detroit Lions at number six. The Packers and the Lions will face each other at the end of the month.
This is the kind of respect Green Bay wants. They need to continue to win games with this young core. Love received criticism before the season began from Cowherd. Now, Jordan Love needs to keep it up and play efficiently, and so does the rest of this football team.
