The MLB regular season has come to an end.  Thankfully, the Milwaukee Brewers won the NL Central Division Title and will face the Atlanta Braves in the NLDS.  With such a successful season, let’s take a look at their top three moments from the regular season.

    3) Corbin Burnes Strikes Out 10 Batters In A Row

Corbin Burnes was a stud for the Brewers in 2021.  He is a legit Cy Young Candidate and most recently wrapped up the first ever ERA title in franchises history.  With that being said, he had many great performances this season, but his start on August 11th was a historical one.

Against the Cubs that night, Burnes set the franchise record for the most amount of strikeouts in a game without allowing a walk.  He struck out 15 batters in total, including a stretch of 10 in a row.  10 consecutive strikeouts in a row tied a MLB record and marked the second time in 2021 that it occurred.

    2) Walk-Off Grand Slam

On September 5th against the St. Louis Cardinals, pinch hitter Daniel Vogelbach hit an insane walk-off!  With the Brewers trailing 5-2 in the bottom of the 9th, Vogelbach entered the game with the bases loaded and just one out.  After going ahead 1-0, he got a pitch to drive and hit a walk off grand slam to give the Brewers a 6-5 victory!

This was a huge confidence booster for Vogelbach, who was just returning from the injured list.  A hamstring injury followed by a foot injury kept him sidelined from MLB action for 2 months, so to join the team and contribute positively right away was a great sight to see.

    1) Combined No-Hitter

It is no secret that this Brewers pitching staff is one of the best in the league.  With so many no-hitters happening around the league, it seemed inevitable that the Brewers would get one in 2021.  On September 11th against the Cleveland Indians, they finally accomplished it.

Corbin Burnes pitched eight innings and Josh Hader capped the no-hitter off in the ninth.  At 115 pitches, many wanted to see Burnes pitch the ninth.  Ultimately, he was pulled and the Brewers were able to preserve the no-hitter.  It was the first combined no-hitter in the history of the franchise and first no-hitter in 34 years.  To witness this game and the fireworks that came with it, including an insane diving catch from Lorenzo Cain, was something special and is very deserving of the top moment of the 2021 season.

Of course there are a lot of other great moments from this season.  On opening day, Orlando Arcia hit a game winner with a chopper in the infield to cap off an incredible come back.  Also earlier in the year, Travis Shaw had a walk-off hit against the Dodgers.

Willy Adames had many huge late game hits, but many will remember his epic bat flip against the Cubs after delivering a clutch home run.  In the second half of the season, Rowdy Tellez had a walk off against the San Francisco Giants.  Heck, even Ryan Braun made an appearance this year as he officially retired and a special ceremony was held.

With the NLDS rapidly approaching, this team is not done making memories.  It only takes one moment to become an October legend, so it will be interesting to see who steps up for the Brewers during their upcoming play-off run.
