The Green Bay Packers made a change at WR today. However, it was not one many fans anticipated happening. With the Packers’ 2022 fading fast many fans are begging the Packers to make a splash move at wide receiver. Names like Odell Beckham Jr. and Will Fuller have floated around as potential help for the Packers’ passing game. Instead, the Packers decided to sign a 2020 undrafted free agent out of Idaho. Jeff Cotton is now a Green Bay Packer.
Packers Sign Undrafted Free Agent WR Jeff Cotton To Practice Squad
The Green Bay Packers have signed WR Jeff Cotton to the practice squad. Cotton was a JUCO All-American at Pima College, catching 43 passes for 837 yards and six touchdowns in 2016.
He was already joining the Packers WR group on the practice field during Wednesday’s practice. Cotton went undrafted out of Idaho in 2020. He played one snap in his only regular-season game. In 2020, Cotton spent training camp with the Los Angeles Chargers. The now Packers WR failed to earn a roster spot, however, he spent the year on their practice squad. In 2021, he flew out east and conducted training camp with the Jacksonville Jaguars. Jeff Cotton wound up earning a spot on their practice squad. He played in the regular-season finale, getting his lone snap on offense and 14 more on special teams in that game. Before the 2022 season, he competed for a spot with the Jaguars but was released among their final cuts. His most recent stint was spending a week on the Arizona Cardinals’ practice squad back in September.
Following the signing of Jeff Cotton, Packers fans will still be looking for a WR “splash signing” that could help the team immediately. These types of signings certainly seem to be taunting fans at times.

I am aware thatRogers makes lots of money. This last game with Detroit was all Rogers mistake. He keeps pointing fingers and tells the players , if they can’t play to their potential, bench them. What about Rodger, maybe he needs to be bench.
Ma’am please stop commenting on things you obviously know NOTHING ABOUT! The Packers INEPTITUDE at the Front Office level is the biggest JOKE in football! They have done NOTHING to help the receiving corps. Our “GREAT” 2nd round FLOP has been nothing but drops and owwies! Can’t practice I’m sore. Boo hoo! Add to that and all of the veterans have been hurt trying to cover for all these rookie MISTAKES! YES, MISTAKES! Bad routes! Dropped passes, stupid penalties, and so many more blunders and idiocy, its a comedy of errors. You whine about Rodgers. How many drops, how many mistakes and badly timed routes will finally be enough to convince you people that he’s beyond FRUSTRATED AND RIGHTFULLY SO! Our so called GM loaded up our offense with supposedly great rookies? LMFAO! These guys couldn’t catch a cold, yet alone a actual FOOTBALL! The first WIDE OPEN DUMP that the great Watson flubbed was a sign if what’s to come! Having NO top veterans to guide these guys? Yes we have Cobb, and well the other veteran has been injured all year basically, and after them? NOTHING! I said before this season began get ready for a 5-12, maybe 6-11 season! To blame Rodgers? OMFG you are delusional!
It doesn’t matter which team it is every team has those moments of being on top being on bottom and being rebuilding Aaron Rodgers is still a great quarterback Matt the floor still a good coach but you still have to train and rebuild Rogers has very little to work with there is no seasoned veterans in there that I can see right now as far as his receivers go so they have to learn the routes they have to understand his timing and they had to get in rhythm with Rogers because they are the ones that are in training not Rogers Rogers is the one that has to continue to stand his ground and be patient with them so yes the Packers are in training this year in the floor the defensive coach Aaron Rodgers and what few veterans we have are the ones that’s got to train them so we need to all stay positive and all these new ride receivers need to get in rhythm with their quarterbacks and with their coaches not the other way around and stay positive packer fans because when they do get it rebuilt and they will we will be Mighty we will be awesome and you can look for super bowl next year but we still have to finish this year and we need to finish strong this will give us an indication of how quickly the new guys are learning and how positive and how strong they want to see is better next year.
