A former Cincinnati four-star commit visiting Wisconsin
Monday was popping with former Cincinnati commits jumping ship with new head coach Luke Fickell to Madison. The Wisconsin Badgers received a commitment from their highest-ranked athlete, Braedyn Moore, Monday afternoon. On Tuesday evening, another former Bearcats commit announced they’d be heading to Wisconsin for an official visit.
According to a post from Amare Snowden’s Twitter page, the four-star cornerback will head to Wisconsin on Sunday, Dec. 18th.

This would be a massive commitment for the Badgers to land. The Badgers’ defense would have two four-star players join the class of 2023. Snowden has the skills to be a versatile athlete for the defense.
Snowden is a composite four-star athlete, per 247 Sports. The Michigan native is ranked as the 44th-best cornerback nationally for the class of 2023. Snowden committed to the Bearcats in June but changed his mind after Fickell left campus. He visited West Virginia on Dec. 9th. Snowden also has the potential to play baseball at the college level.
According to Allen Trieu with 247 Sports, Snowden played both ways in high school and has the potential to be a safety for the Badgers.
“High school cornerback and wide receiver. Could be a big corner in college or go to safety. As he has gotten older and filled in his frame, safety looks like the more likely position. Excellent baseball player who has shown fluidity in change of direction. Also has natural ball skills and ability to play the ball in the air. Has length and can challenge bigger outside receivers on jump balls.”
