The Wisconsin Men’s Basketball team is coming off an impressive week. They were rewarded for it too. In the last nine days, the Badgers took down Marquette 80-77 in the I-94 rivalry. This coming less than a week after Marquette dominated #6 Baylor 96-70. In that same time span, the Badgers handed #13 Maryland their first loss of the season with a 64-59 win in Madison. Finally, just last night the Badgers took down Iowa 78-75 in Iowa City. The Badgers are 8-2 on the season and are now ranked for the first time this season.

Many fans feel this is still too low, but the Badgers will have plenty of opportunities to increase their rank. The Badgers only play three more games in the month of December and all three will be at home. Lehigh (4-4), Grambling (6-3), and Western Michigan (3-7) will all come to town. However, January is when the tests start ramping back up as Big Ten play opens back up. The Badgers will play #18 Illinois twice (home and away), #14 Indiana (away), and #20 Maryland (away) all in the month of January. Sprinkle in Michigan State and Minnesota, and January will be a tough month for the Badgers. One thing is for certain though, this Badgers team has gotten off to a hot start and they keep getting better.
