Even Milwaukee Bucks fans know that Wednesday night will be a big game for Boston Celtics star Jrue Holiday. After all, this is the first time he will be facing his former team after they decided to get rid of him last summer in favor of superstar point guard Damian Lillard.
So, will Jrue be out for some revenge against the Bucks?
Jrue Holiday Gets Brutally Honest on Feelings Towards Milwaukee Bucks
Before Wednesday’s much-awaited showdown, a reporter asked Holiday straight up if he’s going to be playing with a chip on his shoulder against the Bucks considering how things went down this past summer. The 33-year-old was having none of it:
“No,” Holiday said plainly. “I think that they got what they wanted, so I can’t be mad at that.”
Holiday did go on to say that “a warning would’ve been cool,” pertaining to how the Bucks did not give him any prior notice before they pulled the trigger on his trade to the Portland Trail Blazers. Jrue does not seem to have any bad blood against Milwaukee but at the same time, there’s also no denying that the trade hurt him.
Jrue Holiday Plays Down Revenge Narrative
Naturally, reporters wanted Holiday to add more juice to the storyline surrounding his supposed revenge game against Milwaukee. The five-time All-Defense combo guard did not do them any favors, though, as he opted to play down the grudge narrative:
“It’s not like I circled this one on my calendar or anything,” Holiday said. “I think that this is a big game because of the two teams that are playing, I think because of the caliber players that are on the court and all that, so that’s what I would like for it to be about, not me playing against the Bucks.”

Be that as it may, you can still be sure that all eyes will be on Holiday as he battles his former teammates for the first time since his abrupt Milwaukee exit.
