The Packers need to beat the Bears to make the playoffs as a wild card team. The Packers announced Monday they signed wide receiver Bo Melton to the 53-man roster after he caught six passes for 105 yards and a touchdown against the Minnesota Vikings in Week 17:
“Melton, a first-year player who was originally selected by the Seattle Seahawks in the seventh round (No. 229 overall) of the 2022 NFL Draft out of Rutgers, was signed by Green Bay off the Seahawks’ practice squad late last season.
He has spent this season on the Packers’ practice squad and active roster, appearing in four games with one start and recording 11 receptions for 156 yards (14.2 avg.) and a TD as well as one rush for 7 yards.
Melton appeared in 56 games with 42 starts in five seasons at Rutgers (2017-21), finishing his career ranked No. 3 in school history in games played, No. 6 in receptions (164), tied for No. 8 in 100-yard receiving games (five) and No. 10 in receiving yards (2,011).”
The Packers also signed safety Tyler Coyle to the practice squad and placed Toure on injured reserve.
