    Badgers Football Weekly Offer Recap

Badgers coaches have been hot on the recruiting trail since the New Year. Last week was filled with offers and this is where you can learn a little bit more about them! This article will be happening weekly during heavy recruiting times of the year!

George MacIntyre- QB Class of 2025

George is a currently unranked quarterback out of Tennessee who stands at an impressive 6’5″ and weighs in at 180 pounds. After watching his tape it’s a little shocking he isn’t ranked yet. He appears to be a pocket passer but has enough mobility to navigate the pocket with ease. He has an effortless release and shows the ability to make throws on and off platform. As with most young quarterbacks, footwork could use some improvement but he has the arm to play at the next level. Commitment lean: George has an eclectic offer list with Alabama, Michigan and Auburn leading the way. Normally those names would take Wisconsin out of the running but that no longer seems like the case. No lean yet.

Aaron Scott Jr- CB Class of 2024

I don’t believe this is a new offer, but one that hasn’t been covered in these recaps yet. Aaron is a 4 star corner out of Ohio and stands at 6’1″ while weighing in at 170 pounds. Aaron’s ball skills are evident almost immediately in his film but it’s his ability to diagnose plays and drive on the ball that is most impressive. He does a good job of jamming receivers and force them up the boundary while having fluid enough hips to play off and turn and go as needed. Commitment lean: According to 247 sports, Aaron is leaning towards either Kentucky, Michigan or Ohio State.

Mercer Luniewski- OL Class of 2024

Mercer is an unranked prospect out of Ohio and stands at 6’7″ while weighing in at 300 pounds. He’s the kind of big bodies offensive lineman the Badgers have been targeting over the last couple of weeks. Being the largest player on the field helps in high school but his tape also shows a player that doesn’t the fundamentals well. He has long arms and a strong base which help with his projections as he already has the basics down well. He does appear to be overly athletic but he also may not be asked to do much at that level. Commitment lean: Wisconsin is easily his biggest offer and should be in a great spot to bring him in.

Marcus Harrison- OL Class of 2024

Coming in at 6’8″ and 315, Marcus appears to have the perfect size to be a dominant offensive lineman. He’s rated as a 3 star by rivals and his size alone makes him deserving. You don’t see him have to deal with speed rushers much on his film but if he gets his hands on you, good luck getting by. I wasn’t able to see his operate in space so it’s tough to gauge his athleticism but he moves well laterally in pass protection. Commitment lean: Marcus has a couple promising offers but Wisconsin is easily his best so far.

Nitareon Tuggle- WR Class of 2024

Nitareon is a 6’3″, 190 pound receiver from Indiana. Rivals has him listed as a 4 star recruit and it’s easy to see why after watching his highlights. He is electric in the open field and has a great combination of short area quickness and open field speed. It’s hard to tell what kind of route runner he is as it doesn’t seem like his offense is set up to push the ball downfield consistently. Either way, his open field playmaking is exactly what the Badgers football program is looking for. Commitment lean: With offers from Ohio State, Notre Dame and Penn State, it would be easy to think Wisconsin doesn’t have a chance. With the addition of Longo, that is no longer the case but “Nitro” currently isn’t leaning one specific way yet.

Nayier Daniels- OL Class of 2024

Nayier is a massive human as he stands at 6’7″ and weighs in at 330 pounds. The offensive lineman from New Jersey is ranked as a 3 star prospect by rivals and his film is almost comical at times. Not only is he huge, but he appears to have incredible raw strength. It looks like the only thing keeping him from being a 5 star is his athleticism in open space. Right now he seems to be an offensive line anchor for pass protection and a road grader in the run game. I’m not sure if I see him pulling much at the next level. Commitment lean: He isn’t listed as leaning one way or another but does have offers from schools like Penn State, Texas and Michigan, along with others.

Dominic Kirks- DE Class of 2024

Dominic is a 6’5″, 245 pound defensive end from Ohio. The 3 star prospect lists himself as a DE/TE/ATH but looks to has the best fit on defense at the moment. His tape sells his position on the defensive line even better than his physical stats. He has the speed to beat slower offensive lineman on the outside and the power to shed blocks to either break free inside or set the edge on runs. He would have to add weight to be a defensive end in college but that wouldn’t be difficult to do. Commitment lean: Wisconsin is his biggest offer at this point and the “Fan Future Cast” part of the rivals site has Pitt and Wisconsin as the likeliest landing spots.

Sort of a short list this week but we’ll hopefully have more to look at next week as Wisconsin is working on growing their 2024 class!
