Earlier today, the Green Bay Packers announced that they had agreed to a contract with second round pick, tight end Luke Musgrave. That signing left Jayden Reed, who also was taken in the second round of the 2023 NFL Draft, as their only pick who had not signed.  After the Musgrave signing was announced, Reed’s agent, David Canter of GSE Football, announced that he, too, had agreed to terms with the Packers. When the Green Bay Packers traded Aaron Rodgers to begin the Jordan Love Era in Green Bay, many fans and analysts assumed they would pursue a veteran free agent quarterback to be his backup. The Green Bay Packers signed a quarterback on Tuesday, agreeing to terms with quarterback Alex McGough. This past season, McGough led the Birmingham Stallions to the USFL title and won the league MVP. In order to make room for him on the roster, the Packers waived rookie center DJ Scaife. The Milwaukee Brewers are certainly going to be buyers at the Major League trade deadline on August 1. While the currently lead their division, there are some rather concerning holes on their roster. Denzel Mims, a second round pick in 2020, has struggled ever since he began his NFL career.
