The Green Bay Packers signed a quarterback on Tuesday, agreeing to terms with quarterback Alex McGough. This past season, McGough led the Birmingham Stallions to the USFL title and won the league MVP. In order to make room for him on the roster, the Packers waived rookie center DJ Scaife.
In addition to these moves, Green Bay also announced that they had come to terms with second round draft pick Luke Musgrave, a tight end out of Oregon State University:

The Green Bay Packers Now Have Four Quarterbacks on the 90 Man Roster
Alex McGough was a seventh round pick by the Seattle Seahawks in the 2018 NFL Draft. After throwing for 3,209 yards and 28 touchdowns in 10 games for the Stallions, he was named the USFL MVP this past year. He joins a Packers quarterback room that consists of:
- Jordan Love
- Sean Clifford
- Danny Etling
- Alex McGough
The Green Bay Packers Agree to Terms with Luke Musgrave
While the exact details of Musgrave’s contract have not been made public yet, OvertheCap reports that his draft slot’s value is a four-year deal worth $8,475,742. What is not known is how much of that salary is going to be guaranteed by the Packers.
DJ Scaife Is Searching for Another Team Again
DJ Scaife went undrafted out of Miami and signed with the Dolphins. However, he was waived in May and subsequently picked up by Green Bay.
