The Green Bay Packers used their first round pick (#13 overall) to take edge rusher Lukas Van Ness out of Iowa. Van Ness joins seven other former first round picks on a Packers defense that will hope to be much improved in 2023. The Milwaukee Bucks made the unfortunate decision to fire head coach Mike Budenholzer. This was an unfortunate decision because it meant that, once again, the team failed to live up to expectations. The irony is that it was Coach Budenholzer himself who created those expectations. Under Jason Kidd, the Bucks won less than half of the regular season games. The Green Bay Packers are hoping that Rashan Gary will be able to start this season on their active roster. The exciting pass rusher tore his ACL last year, limiting him to nine games and 6.0 sacks.
