On Sunday afternoon, the Packers faced off against against their NFC North rival, the Minnesota Vikings. There was not a lot of good to take away from this game. The Packers fell short losing 23-7. Takeaway Number 1: Young Receivers Let Inexperience ShowThe number one takeaway is that the Packers receiving group is inexperienced. Their most experienced wide receiver is Allen Lazard. He missed Sunday’s game due to a foot injury. Christian Watson dropped what would have been a touchdown pass on the first play of the game and it seemingly set the tone for the offense. The receivers group as…

As the 2022 season begins, there is a lot of uncertainty surrounding the Green Bay Packers. Everything from what the offense will look like, to who may or may not return to the team in 2023. It is no doubt a tough pill to swallow. 1. Aaron JonesFor starters, running back Aaron Jones who signed a four year, $48 million contract in 2021 had to restructure his contract in order to help the Packers clear up salary cap space for this year. However, Jones will have a massive cap hit of $20 million in 2023. If they cut him before…

The Green Bay Packers Hall of Fame is full of many prestigious names: Vince Lombardi, Bart Starr and Brett Favre to name a few. With wide receiver Greg Jennings being the newest member of the Green Bay Packers Hall of Fame on August 30th, the question is: who else should be in? 1. Jordy Nelson First off, Jordy Nelson makes a great case to be a Packers Hall of Fame inductee in the very near future. The former receiver who played for nine seasons in Green Bay had one hell of a career. Nelson accumulated 550 catches for 7,848 yards…

Allen Lazard, #13 of the Green Bay Packers

For the Green Bay Packers, it will truly be a team effort in 2022 to win. But these are the five important players that fans should keep their eye on this year.  5. Eric Stokes Eric Stokes ranks fifth on the list of most important players. The Packers defense finished top ten last season. A large reason was for the vast improvement in the secondary led by cornerback Eric Stokes. He played all 16 games and started 14. In Jaire Alexander’s absence last year due to a shoulder injury, the second year player from Georgia made a huge impression his…

On a night when the Brewers offense could not get anything going, Milwaukee Brewers starter Freddy Peralta was on his A game. He had a no hitter going against the Chicago Cubs through six dominant innings. His final stat line was impressive to say the least: six innings, no hits allowed five strikeouts and one walk on 82 pitches.  However, Peralta was replaced by reliever Matt Bush when the seventh inning began. That decision was controversial to say the least. But first, the good. Good Things Come to those that Wait  Tyrone Taylor hit an absolute rocket to left for…

Even though Packers rookie receiver Christian Watson was suited up for the Packers last preseason game, he did not play. He or none of the Packers starters played in preseason. To be fair to Watson, he is coming off knee surgery from earlier in the off-season. Fans were surprised to say the very least. https://twitter.com/sirksir11/status/1562948723176775687?s=12&t=dwtAYS-XtbCYYyhFJmpxBw With the NFL reducing their amount of pre-season games from four to three, it forces coaches to make a difficult decision between healthy players vs players having rust. Rookies are no exception. With Watson in particular, he is coming off a knee injury…

It was a rough night and ending to the road trip for the Milwaukee Brewers in Los Angeles. To put it simply: the pitching was HORRENDOUS during the six game road trip against the Chicago Cubs and especially against the LA Dodgers. On Wednesday night, there were very few bright moments. Top of the First Inning was nice… but that’s all Facing off against Dodgers starter Alex Heaney, the brewers could not have gotten off to a better start. Willy Adames hit a solo home run to put the Brewers in front 1-0. Coming off the previous game where the…

Thanks to Keston Hiura’s hot bat, the Milwaukee Brewers came away victorious on Sunday afternoon 5-2 and were able to avoid being swept by the Chicago Cubs. The beginning of the game was quite a struggle for the Brewers as starting pitcher Brandon Woodruff gave up a solo home run to Cubs outfielder Ian Happ and labored through the first inning throwing 36 total pitches. That was followed by another solo home run hit in the fourth inning by Seiya Suzuki. Woodruff eventually settled down and gave a good effort. He went five and 2/3 innings giving up two runs,…
