A sweep never felt so good. The Milwaukee Brewers have trammeled the Mets, a victory that carries an extra sweetness given their former chief executive, David Stearns, now runs The Metsies. It’s a fools errand to assess the quality of a baseball team after just a week of play. Could the Brewers really dominate opponents like they did the Mets? Or was New York just really bad? Preseason Power Rankings ranked the Brewers in the bottom third of the league at 21 of out of 30 teams. Nobody was surprised to see that. They had already lost Brandon Woodruff to…

Rhys Hoskins is locked in: “I’m a competitor. People boo you. People doubt you. People do whatever they do. It’s always nice to prove people wrong.” No matter what happens on Sunday, the Brewers are coming out of New York with a series victory. In large part because of Milwaukee’s new first baseman and slugger. His solid performance in game two comes after a fiery Opening Day, when Hoskins took a hard slide into second base. This didn’t endure him to The Metropolitans — as seen in game two when Yohan Ramirez threw over his head in the seventh inning.…
The Milwaukee Brewers have never won a World Series. Is 2024 their year? The owner of the team, Mark Attanasio, has high hopes for his club. He said, “We don’t have the real one we want, which is a World Series championship, but we’ve been knocking on the door.’’ Before they can run, they must walk. Just look at the other teams. The Cincinnati Reds have…

Fear not, fans, age isn’t stopping him. He’ll be calling the Home Opener. His contribution to Brewers baseball runs so deep that the governor designated September 25th as Bob Uecker Day. For 50 years Bob Uecker has been the voice of the Milwaukee @Brewers, bringing the joy and excitement of the game into the homes of fans across our state. Join me in celebrating his career and legacy tomorrow as we commemorate 50…
Oliver Dunn, the Milwaukee Brewers No. 22 prospect, has made the Opening Day roster. The 26-year-old infielder will be playing third base and batting left-handed off the bench. He was in Nashville getting ready to play with the Class AAA Sounds when Brewers’ manager Pat Murphy called him. Dunn is one of three players making their MLB debut with the Brewers. While undeniable skill got the infielder this far in his career, it was another player’s injury that gave him the chance to enter the big leagues. Milwaukee Brewers: Garrett Mitchell’s Injury Paved the Way for Dunn Garrett Mitchell has…
