The 2023 NFL offseason is in full swing and as Aaron Rodgers wraps up his four-day darkness retreat soon, all eyes will remain on the quarterback and his pending decision. Will Rodgers return to Green Bay for another run? Will he be traded?
Feels like we’ve heard that before.
With quarterbacks being the hot topic in the NFL this offseason, Rodgers is undoubtedly one of the biggest dominoes waiting to fall. His decision could impact a lot of teams and other quarterbacks including Derek Carr.
One CBS Sports analyst broke down the Rodgers’ situation recently and made what he calls a ‘crazy’ prediction on where he will be under center in for the 2023 season. And really, it’s not as ‘crazy’ as you make think.
Jordan Dajani put together 10 crazy predictions for this offseason, including Rodgers and his pick of him staying in Green Bay:
My “crazy” prediction is that Rodgers returns to the fold for 2023. Brady may have stolen some of his thunder by being the main retirement of this offseason, plus Rodgers views Green Bay as home. This is something we know. Rodgers has had a wandering eye in the past, but he returns to play for the Packers next season.
How crazy of a prediction is it for Aaron Rodgers?
Is that really ‘crazy’ when all said and done? Probably not.
But the thing to note about the Aaron Rodgers situation is that anything can happen and like we’ve seen before, it does get dragged out a bit. We should know Rodgers’ decision hopefully soon and it’s either going to be a new era in Green Bay with Jordan Love at the helm or it’s going to be Rodgers once again and we will go through the same old song and dance in he 2024 offseason.
