A video of a Green Bay Packers fan dumping a beer on Detroit Lions wide receiver Amon-Ra St. Brown went viral Thursday night.
Thursday night was a tough night for Packers players, coaches, and fans, as the Lions blew out the Packers in Green Bay to take a lead in the NFC North. Head coach Matt LaFleur was visibly upset during the game and his post-game presser.

One fan was feeling the negative vibe early in the game. A video showed St. Brown celebrating a touchdown reception by jumping into a group of Lions fans (and there were many there at Lambeau Field). The video shows a Packers fan pouring a beer on St. Brown’s helmet.

That type of behavior is unnecessary and unacceptable for any fan of any team to do to an opposing player. And quite honestly, that’s a waste of a delicious beer that the fan probably wanted back as the night went on.

It’s important to note that the person dumping the beer was just one Packers fan–they don’t speak for Packers fans as a whole. Most Packers fans in the picture were in awe of a player jumping that close to them. Some took videos to remember the moment.
It’s unclear who the fan is or if they’ll receive punishment for the action. They probably should sit at least this season out, though.
