Aaron Rodgers let Matt LaFleur have it Sunday
Head coach Matt LaFleur chose to make the play-calling decisions on the Green Bay Packers’ final drive in regulation. It ended in a punt. The Packers needed a field goal to win the game, and the play-calling was a confusing mess that didn’t make any sort of sense. Fox cameras caught the MVP quarterback Aaron Rodgers chewing LaFleur out after the drive failed.
LaFleur, to his credit, took the blame for the Packers’ poor execution of their two-minute offense. He admitted that he was indecisive and gave Rodgers less flexibility to change plays on that drive. Rodgers, however, didn’t take the high road in his post-game interview. According to Ryan Wood with USA Today, Rodgers answered why he was upset when he came to the sideline.
“Just every single play call probably.”

He felt like he was in good rhythm, wanted a chance to win in regulation, didn’t feel like he got it.
Rodgers didn’t get the win in regulation, but the Packers prevailed in overtime. The team got a much-needed win in Week 10 to snap a five-game losing streak. Hopefully, Rodgers and LaFleur can come up with a way to be on the same page in the coming weeks. This mistake almost cost the Packers a win over the Dallas Cowboys. The Packers no longer have room for error to make those kinds of mistakes.
