The Aaron Rodgers saga has a new plot twist. More teams are reportedly poking around to see if they could obtain the former MVP quarterback. Aaron Rodgers To The New England Patriots?
This isn’t far-fetched from a fit standpoint. Bill Belichick has long been a fan of Rodgers and would love to have him as his quarterback. He has reportedly been shopping Mac Jones so he isn’t settled on the starter. The Patriots also own the 14th overall pick in the draft which would be perfect compensation along with some future assets. Belichick is likely in the twilight of his career and will not care as much about the long-term future of the team. It is an intriguing storyline to keep an eye on.

A Disaster For The Jets
More than likely, this is the Packers leaking this news to put pressure on the Jets to cough up more assets. This is a strategy many teams use to try and get more for a player. However, if the Patriots are serious it could mean disaster for the Jets. It would be a catastrophe if Rodgers ended up going to a hated rival because the general manager wouldn’t give up the required draft capital and Belichick would. Belichick loves to troll the Jets and this would be the ultimate slap in the face to the Jets.
