Aaron Rodgers has had his fair share of relationships over the years. Rumors emerged in February 2021 that Rodgers and Shailene Woodley were an item. Then just days later, Aaron Rodgers sent shockwaves through the worlds of sports and Hollywood when he announced that he was engaged. While accepting the Most Valuable Player award during the NFL Honors, the football star thanked his fiancée — though he didn’t give a name. The couple split in February 2022 while Woodley was filming the drama series, Three Women. Today she released a statement regarding their breakup and the impact it had on her life.
Shailene Woodley Gets Candid About “Hardest Time Of Her Life” After Break Up With Aaron Rodgers
“It was hard to film because I was going through the darkest, hardest time in my life; it was winter in New York, and my personal life was s—ty, so it felt like a big pain bubble for eight months,” Shailene told Porter in article published Jan. 23. “I was so grateful that at least I could go to work and cry and process my emotions through my character.”
Though both Aaron Rodgers and Shailene Woodley have mostly kept details of their split private, less than a week after calling it quits, the Green Bay Packers quarterback openly shared his gratitude for the actress, writing in a February 2022 Instagram post that Shailene Woodley showed him what “unconditional love looks like.”
