The Green Bay Packers now know the injury running back Aaron Jones suffered in Week 11 against the Los Angeles Chargers. The Packers hoped to have their lead running back against the Detroit Lions in Week 12.
Jones was still battling a hamstring injury the first time the Packers played the Lions this season. Jones played limited snaps during the Thursday night loss to Detroit but was mostly ineffective due to the injury.
The Green Bay Packers are unlikely to play Jones on Thursday

It’s not looking good for Jones’ chances to play on Thanksgiving against the Lions. According to Adam Schefter with ESPN, Jones was revealed to have an MCL sprain. The Packers do not believe he will play Thursday. Jones is considered to be week-to-week.

It usually takes 3-12 weeks to recover from an MCL sprain. So, the Packers could be without Jones for the next few weeks. That’s why the Packers added a couple of running backs to the roster Monday.
