The long awaited Brewers home opener will have to wait a little longer. According to multiple national and local sources, the St. Louis Cardinals have been advised to isolate in their hotel. At least one member of the traveling party has tested positive for COVID 19.
Positive coronavirus tests with the St. Louis Cardinals have postponed their game against the Milwaukee Brewers, a source tells ESPN, confirming the @jonheyman report. Unclear how many, but to this point positives had been limited to teams in the East. Now in the Central, too.

#Brewers-Cardinals report not a hoax, folks. https://t.co/PGwdo8Aepa

As of right now, the Brewers themselves do not have any known positive COVID tests. This postponement, while disappointing, is a step forward for MLB. Last week, the league allowed the Marlins and Phillies to play a game despite multiple positive COVID tests. As of right now, more than half of the Marlins roster has tested positive for the virus. Hopefully, this action protects both teams from that kind of situation.
