The #5 Marquette Golden Eagles will have another road test on Saturday afternoon on the road against the #12 Creighton Blue Jays. Tipoff for this game will be at 1:30 p.m. CT on FOX. This will be another tough road test for Marquette this season.
It is very well that point guard Tyler Kolek may not play on Saturday due to an oblique injury. That would be a huge loss for Marquette if Kolek was not able to play against Creighton on the road. He injured himself in the game on Wednesday against the Providence Friars.
The Golden Eagles won that matchup by a final score of 91-69. Tyler Kolek in that matchup scored 12 points, grabbed two rebounds, and recorded six assists.

On Wednesday night, Kam Jones was the leading scorer once again with 17 points. He also grabbed one rebound and recorded two assists. David Joplin scored 13 points and Chase Ross and Stevie Mitchell also scored 12 points in that game.
If Kolek is out on Saturday, Oso Ighodaro is going to need to score more than eight points. This season, the Marquette Golden Eagles have a 22-6 record so far this season and have a 13-4 record in Big East Conference play. Head coach Shaka Smart has his team currently at the number two seed in the conference.
Players to Watch For on the Creighton Blue Jays Against the Marquette Golden Eagles

Creighton has some elite scorers on their basketball team. Greg McDermott is the head coach of this basketball team. The Blue Jays have a 21-8 record so far this season and they are 12-6 in conference play. It is quite possible that the Creighton Blue Jays and the Marquette Golden Eagles possibly face each other in the Big East Conference Semifinals later this month.
The Blue Jays last played against the Seton Hall Pirates on Wednesday and they won that game easily at home by a final score of 85-64. Ryan Kalkbrenner scored 23 points and grabbed six rebounds. Baylor Scheierman is one of the best guards in the conference. He scored 20 points, grabbed 11 rebounds, and recorded three assists against Providence.

Trey Alexander recorded a double-double for Creighton against Providence. He scored 15 points, grabbed five rebounds, and recorded 10 assists. Steven Ashworth also added 10 points in this basketball game.
Just a couple of weeks ago when everyone thought #3 UCONN Huskies were unbeatable, the Blue Jays dominated the Huskies at home. The Golden Eagles are entering a hostile environment on Saturday afternoon. If they don’t have Tyler Kolek, it could potentially spell trouble for them.
