The Green Bay Packers evened their 2022 record at 8-8 with a 41-17 win over the Vikings on Sunday at Lambeau Field.
Here are a lot of good stats that helped define that contest.
One: The 41 points scored by the Packers were the most since Game #13 last year when they defeated the Chicago Bears 45-30 on December 12, 2021. The team has now won 41 straight games when they score 40 or more points. The last time they lost a home game when they scored 40+ points was the Season Opener in 1971 when they lost to the New York Giants at Lambeau 42-40.
Two: The 24-point winning margin at home was the biggest in almost a year. Last year on January 2, 2022, the Pack beat the Vikings 37-10 at home, a 27-point margin. In their last 20 victories of 20 points or more, five have come against the Vikings.
Three: Mason Crosby had a pair of field goals in the game. It was his 115th regular season game with multiple made field goals. The Packers are 84-29-2 (.739 winning percentage) in games that Crosby has two or more made FGs. Green Bay has won 19 of their last 21 games when Crosby has made multiple FGs.
Packers scored 27 points in the first half
Four: Green Bay had a 27-3 lead at halftime. It was the first time since November 29, 2020, that the Pack scored 27+ points in the first half at home in a game. The team is 38-0 in their history when they score 27+ points in the first half at home.
Five: Aaron Jones had 111 rushing yards on 14 carries in the game. It was his fifth 100-yard rushing game this season. The Packers are 4-1 in those games. His 7.9 yards per carry in the game was the 9th highest of his career (minimum of five carries).
Six: Aaron Rodgers had a Passer Rating of 95.7 in the game. Green Bay has a record of 70-6-1 (.916) at Lambeau Field when Rodgers has a PR of 95+ (minimum of 10 pass attempts) at home.
Seven: The Packers defense had three interceptions (Savage, Amos, and Ford). Green Bay has now won 23 consecutive games dating back to 2009 when they intercept three opponent passes in a contest.
Eight: For the second straight game, the Packers had four takeaways; they also had four in last week’s win over Miami. It was the first time since Games #13 and #14 in 2016 that they had back-to-back games with four takeaways.
Packers lead NFL in most games with no turnovers since 2019
Nine: The Packers did not have a turnover in the game. In the Matt LaFleur era (since 2019), Green Bay leads the NFL with 32 turnover-less games (they are 28-4 in those games, .875). Tennessee is second with 25 games with no turnovers from 2019-22.
Ten: For the sixth time this season, the Packers had 160 or more yards rushing in a game. They are 5-1 in those games. Green Bay has won 17 of their last 18 games when they have 160+ yards rushing in a contest.
Eleven: Keisean Nixon had the Packers’ first kick-off return for TD since Randall Cobb on September 8, 2011. Nixon’s 105-yard return also gave him the seventh consecutive game with 100+ return yards (punts and kick-offs). That extended his team record.
Three players scored their first TDs of 2022
Twelve: The Packers entered the game with only 10 players scoring touchdowns this season. Three Packers scored their first TD of 2022 in the game: Darnell Savage on an interception return for TD, Keisean Nixon with a TD via kick-off return, and Aaron Rodgers on a two-yard run.
Thirteen: Mason Crosby scored 11 points in the game on two field goals and five extra points. It was the second consecutive week that he scored in double-figures in a game. It was the first time he scored 10+ points in consecutive games since Games #2 and #3 in the 2020 season.
Fourteen: Aaron Rodgers scored his first TD of the season on a two-yard run. It was the 13th season that he scored at least one TD for the Packers. Donald Driver holds the Packers record for most seasons with a TD with 14.
Fifteen: Rookie receiver Christian Watson has 36 catches, 507 receiving yards, and seven TD receptions this season. He became the 58th rookie in the Super Bowl era (since 1966) to have 35 catches, 500 yards, and seven TD catches. He became the third Green Bay rookie all-time with those numbers. The others were Billy Howton (1952) and Max McGee (1954).
A.J. Dillon had a rushing TD for the fifth straight game
Sixteen: A.J. Dillon had a rushing TD for the fifth straight game. The team record is seven straight games held by Paul Hornung in 1960. Dillon is the ninth Packer to score a rushing TD in five straight games.
Seventeen: The Packers’ defense held Justin Jefferson to only one catch for 15 yards. It was the fewest catches in a game for his career, and the second-fewest yards in his three-year career. The 184 yards receiving in the first game on September 11 versus the Packers is the third-highest total in his 49-game career.
Eighteen: Kirk Cousins’ 49.2 Passer Rating in the game was the lowest of the season for him. It was also the fourth lowest PR for Cousins in the 136 games he’s started since 2012.
Nineteen: Rodgers was sacked only once in the game. It was the seventh game this season where the Green Bay QB was sacked zero or only one time in a game. In their eight wins this season, the Green Bay offense has allowed 13 sacks; in their eight losses, they allowed 17 sacks.
First game since Week #3 that the Packers did not allow a point in the 2nd quarter
Twenty: The Packers did not allow the Vikings to score in the second quarter. It was the first time since Game #3 that an opponent did not score in the second quarter.
Twenty-One: In their four-game winning streak, the Packers have scored 10 or more points in seven of the 16 quarters they played.
