13 Year Chicago Bear Slanders Medically Retired Veteran On Social Media

Olin Kreutz is a 14 year NFL veteran, 13 of those years were spent with the Chicago Bears.  From 1998 to 2010 Kreutz played center in Chicago. In 2011 he was signed to the New Orleans Saints,  this was his last year in the NFL.  He had numerous accomplishments during his time in the NFL, including earning a spot on the 2000s all decade team, as well as being selected to the pro bowl six times.  Apparently, Olin also feels a certain type of way about himself when it comes to medical compensation.  He also feels as though he is “not normal.”

Olin Kreutz Disrespects A Medically Retired Veteran

This all started yesterday when legendary wide receiver Wes Welker posted to social media about his medical coverage.  He is apparently having a hard time filing his disability claims with the NFL.

⁦@NFL⁩ I don’t have the time or patience for this. Been an employee of the NFL for 18 years and still going. This is bush league stuff! pic.twitter.com/kcOfuSStx3

    — Wes Welker (@WesWelker) August 27, 2022

This of course got the attention of fans, other former players, and news outlets.  A Tweet saying: “Oh no you have to do normal people stuff. The humanity” was one of the first responses to Wes Welker’s post.  Olin Kreutz had a response for that:

We're not normal people we played in the nfl. Sorry that hurts your feelings and you feel the need to stand up for billionaires 😂😂😂 " the humanity "

    — Olin kreutz (@olin_kreutz) August 27, 2022

We’re not normal people we played in the nfl.  Sorry that hurts your feelings and you feel the need to stand up for the billionaires “the humanity”
One of the responses to this was from a medical retired veteran:
I guess the millions of vets that struggle with the VA daily aren’t normal people either. Cool! Cause we served our country and all. I hope that doesn’t hurt your feelings Mr. Kreutz.

Kreutz’s Response To This Is Where It Got Out Of Line:

    We're not alike sorry 🤣🤣🤣 keep " cringing " 😂 pic.twitter.com/vBfx4giL8u

    — Olin kreutz (@olin_kreutz) August 27, 2022

We’re not alike sorry (laughing emoji) keep “cringing”

Olin Kreutz wanted to blatantly point out that he doesn’t believe he isn’t like a veteran who put his life on the line for his country.  The responses Kreutz’s tweet got were exactly what you think they would be for someone who disrespects the military.  One response was “You played football and got money for it cool! Stop acting like you’re above anyone else on Twitter just because of that.”

Another one was “You are correct. You aren’t the same. You played a game for a living and he put his life on the line to protect your freedom to play a game for a living. Not the same at all.”

A third response was “You’re right, you’re not the same. Americans who serve their country are far more important than you are. And it’s not even close.”

This all happened almost one month after being fired from being an analyst for NBC Sports Chicago for getting in a physical altercation with another employee.   I may be a Packers fan, but I mean it when I say the Chicago Bears organization deservers better representation than this guy.
