The #11 Wisconsin Badgers moved up six spots in the AP Poll on Monday from #17. With Wisconsin moving up six spots, they are looking to stay focused on the task at hand. On Tuesday night, they will have a road date with the unranked Penn State Nittany Lions.
Tipoff for the contest is scheduled for 8 p.m. CT. This season, the Badgers are 13-3 overall and they are 5-0 in conference play. The Nittany Lions are 8-9 overall and they are 2-4 in conference play. Penn State is one of the worst teams in the BIG10 Conference this season and this is a total trap game for the Wisconsin Badgers. This would be a massive upset for the Penn State Nittany Lions if they were able to pull this one off.
The Wisconsin Badgers had three players score in double figures this past Saturday against the Northwestern Wildcats. Max Klesmit led the Badgers with 24 points, one rebound, and two assists. AJ Storr also scored 14 points and Tyler Wahl also added 11 points for Wisconsin.
Greg Gard’s squad will need Klesmit to have another good game in order to avoid the road upset. They are very good on offense and this has been one of their better offensive teams in a while.
Players to Watch For on the Penn State Nittany Lions Against the Wisconsin Badgers
Mike Rhoades is the head coach of Penn State basketball this season. Their season has not gone as planned after being an NCAA Tournament a season ago. The Nittany Lions lost to the Purdue Boilermakers this past Saturday on the road 95-78.
Penn State had three players score in double figures and these will be some of the players that the Wisconsin Badgers will have to keep an eye on in this one. Nick Kern led the Penn State Nittany Lions with 18 points, four rebounds, and recorded one assist.
Kayne Clary scored 16 points for Penn State and Jameel Brown also added 13 points. This is a game that Wisconsin needs to get out to a big lead early on Penn State. The longer the Badgers let the Nittany Lions hang around, the longer they believe they can win the game.
