The Wisconsin football team has received a crystal ball prediction from one of their top remaining prospects in the 2024 class.
Xavier Lucas, a three-star defensive from Florida, is one of the final defensive recruits the Badgers have been considering for their 2024 class. Lucas is a big, physical defender with the ability to play both corner back and safety if needed. The three-star recruit has offers from Alabama, Iowa, Illinois, and Wisconsin among many others.
Wisconsin Football Trending to Land Three-Star Defensive Back Xavier Lucas

Lucas, a 6-foot-1-inch defensive back, currently ranks as the 82nd safety overall and the 102nd recruit in the state of Florida. Lucas has 34 scholarship offers and spent plenty of time after this past season visiting different schools. The premier program Lucas visited was the Alabama Crimson Tide, but the recruit did not make an official visit.
The talented safety took three official visits this summer. Iowa, Illinois, and Wisconsin received visits from Lucas and have seemed to form the top-three programs for the recruit. Lucas has also spent plenty of time in his home state on college tours, most recently attending a Florida Atlantic University football camp.
While Lucas may have the physical size to play either position in the secondary, he also has the speed to cover each position with ease. Lucas is an accomplished track runner with burning speed, holding a 100-meter record of 10.77. Lucas offers a great combination of size and speed, while having a frame that he can still grow into.
The Wisconsin football staff loves their physical freaks and Lucas could certainly be considered one of them.
Wisconsin is up against tough competition with Iowa and Illinois being the other two front runners for the defensive back. The Wisconsin Badgers football team is in need of more defensive backs in their recruiting classes and on their roster. The crystal ball for Lucas comes as a surprise timing wise, but the position and skill set certainly makes sense for the team.
