Patrick Beverley is certainly no stranger to controversies due to his feisty and confrontational attitude. But after a pair of incidents during the Milwaukee Bucks’ Game 6 loss to the Indiana Pacers, the guard has finally aired his side about the recent issues hounding him.
Many fans expected the Bucks to win their first round series against Tyrese Haliburton and the Pacers because of their experience and having two bonafide superstars in Giannis Antetokounmpo and Damian Lillard. However, the former suffered a calf strain before the two teams can meet, causing Milwaukee to be handicapped right from the start.
Things would get worse for the Bucks as Damian Lillard missed Games 3, 4, and 5. As a result, Khris Middleton, Bobby Portis, Brook Lopez, and Beverley carried the load to keep their team alive against Indiana. But even though Lillard returned in Game 6, it still wasn’t enough to prevent them from being eliminated.
Due to the frustration of the situation, Beverley engaged with a fan in the dying minutes of Game 6. The Bucks guard threw a ball twice at fans on the stands and was held back by his teammates after. Furthermore, Beverley disrespected ESPN producer Malinda Adams by refusing to answer her questions and making her leave after learning she wasn’t subscribed to his podcast.

“Unfortunate situation that should have never happened. What I did was bad and that should have never happened. I have to be better and I will be better. That should have never happened. Regardless of what was said, that should have never happened. Simple as that,” Beverley said.
The veteran guard previously apologized on social media for his actions. However, his fate in Milwaukee remains unknown since Beverley’s contract with the team has already ended. In any case, it’s going to be a long offseason for him.
