The Wisconsin football staff has landed another commitment in their 2025 recruiting class after a three-star athlete announced his decision.
Cody Haddad, a 2025 three-star linebacker and safety, announced on X (Formerly known as Twitter) late last night after much consideration. The talented athlete had 16 offers at the time of his commitment, and could very well receive more in the future. Haddad adds plenty of versatility to the Wisconsin football class due to his ability to play multiple positions on defense, his ability as a receiver, and his ability as a returner.
Wisconsin Football Secures Commitment from Cody Haddad Following Staff Visit
It certainly did not take long for the Badgers to make an impact on Haddad, as the staff had only been in contact with the recruit for several months. Haddad had his chance to meet with the staff late last week, and four days later the recruit had made his decision.
If there is one thing the Wisconsin football staff and Head Coach Luke Fickell have preached in particular, it is the ability to be multidimensional. Coach Fickell does not want to be a team that relies on one facet of the game and has recruited to build a team that is versatile. Enter Haddad, and Coach Fickell and Defensive Coordinator Mike Tressel have found just the man they need.
Currently, Wisconsin has recruited Haddad as a safety since the athlete has mainly played there in High School. However, the recruit aims to play more on offense and special teams this upcoming season, which could potentially change his role in college. Haddad has quick hips, excellent speed and acceleration, and great field vision which has allowed him to excel at safety.
The Wisconsin staff also loves the fact that Haddad is an aggressive player who is not afraid to initiate contact.
For Haddad, it is certainly still early in his overall collegiate recruitment, however Wisconsin football make enough of an impact already on the young man. Haddad chose Wisconsin over Cincinnati, Duke, Boston College, and others. The athlete is the fifth commitment in the 2025 class for the Badgers.
