Who is Wisconsin Basketball Forward Gus Yalden?
Yalden was the centerpiece of Wisconsin basketball head coach Greg Gard’s 2023 recruiting class that also included Nolan Winter, and John Blackwell Jr. A four-star recruit at all three major recruiting services, the Appleton, Wisconsin native became an early fan favorite with his “Gus Bus” moniker.

Prior to his time in Madison, the six-foot-nine-inch big man played prep basketball with several powerhouse programs. He attended IMG Academy in Florida, the Asheville school in North Carolina, and La Lumiere in Indiana during high school. During summers, he appeared on the Nike EYBL elite recruiting circuit.
