There is still a lot season left for Wisconsin Basketball and the rest of the country. While the Badgers are preparing for their final non-conference game, it’s never too early to look at where bracketology experts see the Badgers in the NCAA Tournament if the regular season ended today. FOX, ESPN, and CBS are the three main outlets with experts Joe Lunardi (ESPN), Jerry Palm (CBS), and Mike DeCourcy (FOX). Here is where these three see Wisconsin basketball currently.
Wisconsin Basketball Bracketology- ESPN
After a recent update from ESPN Bracketologist Joe Lunardi this morning, Wisconsin basketball is seen as four seed in the East region. Lunardi has the Badgers facing Akron.
In this bracket, UCONN is the number one seed. The 5-12 matchup would be North Carolina against either Kansas State or South Carolina. These games would be be played in Brooklyn, likely where the Brooklyn Nets play.
CBS
CBS Bracketologist Jerry Palm, as of December 15, sees Wisconsin basketball as a three seed. Palm has the Badgers facing 14 seed Hofstra in the West region. This game would be played in Omaha, Nebraska. This is a little surprising as Palm tends to be a little tougher on Wisconsin.
Continuing in the West region, Wisconsin basketball would face the winner of six seed San Diego State and 11 seed Iowa State or Butler. The number one seed in this region is Arizona, who recently beat the Badgers by 27.
Initially, Iowa State would be a bad matchup for the Badgers. Iowa State is playing tough this year. It’s a little surprising to see them as a Last 4 In team right now. I expect them to safely get in the tournament this year.

Today was the first bracket release for Michael DeCourcy of the basketball season. Personally, I prefer DeCourcy’s bracket most of the time because he will make weekly occurrences on “BTN Live” during the basketball season. He talks about not only the Badgers but the other Big Ten teams in his bracket or on the bubble. I appreciate his transparency.
DeCourcy sees Wisconsin basketball as a four seed taking on 13 seed UNC- Wilmington in the East region The 5-12 game would be Auburn and Villanova, DeCourcy has Kansas as the one seed in this region.
