Indiana came into Madison hoping to be the team that finds the crack in the armor of the No. 1 ranked Wisconsin Badgers volleyball team. Unfortunately for them, the Badgers wanted no part of it, and for the second straight match, they swept their opponent 25-13, 25-23, 25-18 on Sunday.

A Little Closer for the Wisconsin Badgers
This wasn’t the exact replica of their win over Northwestern, where they were dominant throughout, but it was pretty close. They got out to a 12-4 lead in the first set, and even though Indiana tried to battle back, they fell 25-13.
The second set is where things went a little sideways for Badgers volleyball, but it still wasn’t enough to derail their undefeated train. There were nine ties and two lead changes between the Badgers and Hoosiers. Indiana was able to hold off three set points, but Anna Smrek sealed the deal in the second set with a kill.
Indiana continued their valiant effort in the third set and got it as close as 11-9. The Wisconsin Badgers offense proved to be too much for them, with Devyn Robinson closing out the third set and the match with two kills.

Badgers Volleyball by the Numbers
The Wisconsin Badgers continued their balanced play by hitting .299 but holding down Indiana to .098 in hitting percentage. It was the fourth time Badgers volleyball held their opponent under .100 this season. Wisconsin continues to lead the Big Ten with a .300 hitting percentage on the season.
Devyn Robinson led the team with a .467 hitting percentage and put up nine kills. Anna Smrek contributed a team-high 10 kills and hit .389. Smrek’s .406 hitting percentage on the season has her 7th in the Big Ten.
Up next for the Badgers is a road match against Ohio State on Wednesday.
