Today is the beginning of fall camp for the Wisconsin Badgers. They will spend the first week at UW-Platteville before returning to Madison to complete the rest of camp. Luke Fickell has gone off-site for camp during his time at Cincinnati as well. As the roster was released, there were two tight ends from the spring roster that are no longer on the roster. That would be Clay Cundiff and Jack Eschenbach.
It Is A Huge Impact
Wisconsin tight ends Clay Cundiff and Jack Eschenbach are not on the fall camp roster and have "left the program voluntarily," according to a school official.

The tight end position was already a thin and inexperienced group coming into the season. It does not help as Cundiff and Eschenbach were in my opinion the top two tight ends on the roster. There was no doubt Cundiff was going the be the starter. On the other hand, Eschenbach was coming back for his sixth season and has appeared in a lot of games over the course of his career.
With the departure of Cundiff and Eschenbach. expect Hayden Rucci, Riley Nowakowski, Jack Pugh, and JT Seagreaves as the main options. Rucci has the most experience. If it were my guess, I would think if there was a game tomorrow it would be Rucci lining up as the starter.
This should be a great battle as fall camp moves along and something I will be keeping my eyes on.
