The Wisconsin Badgers are starting to heat up in the transfer portal. After landing a pair of linebackers in the past week, the offense now gets a new weapon. Former Oklahoma Sooners running back Tawee Walker announced he is committing to the Badgers for 2024.

Wisconsin Badgers Land RB Tawee Walker
The 5-foot-10, 215-pound running back had a good season for the Sooners. He rushed for 513 yards and seven touchdowns. His five yards per carry is what should excite fans. Wisconsin has historically been very friendly to running backs so it isn’t a surprise that Walker is coming to Madison. He never got a ton of playing time in Oklahoma and was likely looking for a place to be more of a featured back. With the loss of Braelon Allen, the Badgers backfield needed a boost.
2024 Outlook
It isn’t going to be easy for Wisconsin in 2024. In the third week of the season, the Alabama Crimson Tide will visit Camp Randall Stadium for a huge matchup. In Big Ten play, there are games against USC, Penn State, Iowa, Oregon, and Nebraska. The good news for the Badgers is that only USC and Nebraska are on the road. The rest will be in front of a home crowd which is always helpful.
The Wisconsin Badgers are looking to have a better season under Luke Fickell. Now that he has settled in, the hope is that the program can get back to being one of the premier programs in the Big Ten.
