The Wisconsin Badgers are entering the 2023 season under a new era of leadership. Head coach Luke Fickell and offensive coordinator Phil Longo, among others, have brought excitement to Madison that fans haven’t experienced in years. While a National Championship may be a lofty goal in their first season, it is certainly the mindset this program has under Fickell’s tenure. The Wisconsin Badgers’ potential is already being recognized by National Media as the Wisconsin Badgers will host a primetime Nationally Televised game in 2023.
Wisconsin Badgers Will Host Ohio State At Camp Randall Stadium On October 28th For A Nationally Televised Game
According to Ryan Glasspiegel of the New York Post, UW will play in primetime when hosting Ohio State on October 28th. NBC will televise the Big Ten matchup.
The last time the Wisconsin Badgers hosted the Buckeyes was in 2016. That game was also a primetime matchup. #8 Wisconsin welcomed a #2 Ohio State. Badgers QB Alex Hornibrook and running back Corey Clement led the Badgers against a J.T. Barrett led Ohio State team.
Wisconsin held a lead as late as 4:00 remaining in the 4th quarter. However, an Ohio State touchdown in overtime proved to be too much for Wisconsin as their drive ended on the four yard line. A 2010 primetime match-up remains the last time Wisconsin football defeated Ohio State.
