Bronny James has dealt with so much negative criticism for the longest time, especially since he’s just an amateur player who hasn’t even played in the NBA. But after his recent Draft Combine performance, he has gained new fans with Milwaukee Bucks guard Damian Lillard among them.
Almost similar to the Bucks’ All-Star guard, Bronny officially stands at 6’1″ while Lillard has a height of 6’2″. Unlike the former Portland Trail Blazers star, though, the younger James has a knack for defense while continuing to develop his offensive game, particularly his outside shot.

But before he arrived at this point, LeBron James announced his final season will be played with Bronny in the same team. The Los Angeles Lakers star‘s declaration placed his son under intense public scrutiny to determine if he has what it takes to make the leap from amateur baller to pro.
His lone college season in USC seemed to detrimental to Bronny after he posted numbers far below than what anyone expected. It didn’t help that the young star suffered a cardiac arrest, which led to missing some due to recovery. Fortunately, it looked like he got his groove back just in time for the draft combine.
Milwaukee Bucks Guard Damian Lillard Applauds Bronny James’ NBA Draft Combine Performance

Unlike his time playing for USC in college, Bronny dropped a 13-point performance in 23 minutes during the recent NBA Draft Combine. This led Lillard’s reaction about the younger James’ impressive game in a post he shared on social media.

At this point in time, James is now considered a first round pick in the upcoming draft. There is speculation, though, that the Lakers will select him to retain LeBron in the lineup for his final season.

The upcoming weeks will be a crucible for Bronny to determine if he is ready for the NBA. In any case, Lillard’s reaction will go a long way in establishing his case in the draft.
