The Wisconsin Badgers football staff has offered another talented four-star running back following his exceptional Sophomore season.
Michael Turner of Richland is a four-star running back in the 2025 football recruiting class. Turner is a rising Junior from Texas and currently ranks as the 35th overall recruit in the state. Turner is also ranked as the 26th overall running back and 235th overall prospect in the National rankings. The talented running back has added his sixth scholarship offer to his list after the Badgers chose to extend one.

Turner, a current Sophomore, is coming off his most productive season yet in high school notching 12 rushing touchdowns and 849 yards. Turner also had four games where he rushed for 100 or more yards this past season. The running back dominated this past season as he sliced through defenses and created quite the highlight reel while doing so. Turner is a patient runner with an incredible burst of speed that allows him to tear past the opposing secondary on his long runs.
Coming in at 5-foot-11-inches, 190 pounds, Turner is not just a quick running back but also an aggressive one. Turner likes to wait for his blockers to set before bursting past them, but the running back also enjoys running straight at the defense. His quick cutting ability allows him to shift past defenders without giving them a chance to make the tackle. Turner also regularly slips past defenders who make their way into the back field to find the open gap. The running back is an accomplished track runner as well, recording a 100-meter time of 11.05 this past season.
After his successful season, the exciting recruit received quite the praise from multiple major programs. Texas Tech, Arizona State, and Wisconsin have all offered Turner since the completion of his Sophomore season. The talented running back has not made any visits yet, but given the location the Texas Tech Red Raiders will likely be one of the first teams to host Turner. The Wisconsin Badgers football staff will have to work hard to gain the attention of Turner.
Wisconsin Badgers Football Recruiting: Will Michael Turner Become a Badger
For the Wisconsin Badgers, the 2025 football recruiting class still remains a question mark for the team. The 2023 season still needs to play out and the 2024 recruiting class needs to be finalized before any real decisions are made. Most 2025 recruits have taken this into account and will enjoy their recruitment for awhile before making serious decisions about where they would like to go.

Wisconsin does not have a verbal commitment for the 2025 recruiting class yet at any position. In the 2024 recruiting class, the Badgers have not landed a running back yet but have led the chase for four-star Darrion Dupree. Wisconsin can use multiple commitments at the position across the 2024 and 2025 recruiting classes, with the exceptional Braelon Allen likely leaving for the draft once eligible.
The Wisconsin Badgers are still searching for the future replacement for Allen, and the talented running back Michael Turner from Texas could be just the man. Between his freakish combination of speed, field vision, and composure, the running back is increasingly hard to bring down. The scary part for opposing teams is that Turner still has two more years of high school to develop physically and mentally as a football player.
The Wisconsin Badgers football team would be a perfect fit for the four-star running back in the near future.
