Luke Fickell met with the media as he does each week heading into the game against a sneaky-good Rutgers team this Saturday. It marks another Big Ten Conference game and a crucial one to win for the Badgers. The Wisconsin Badgers are coming off their bye week and should be rested and ready to go for this weekend’s game. They’re coming off a victory against Purdue, and they’re hoping to get some reinforcements, though it looks like the OL might be getting help before the defense.
Two Wisconsin Badgers Injury Updates
Luke Fickell addressed a couple of injuries to starting center Jake Renfro and defensive lineman Isaiah Mullens.
Luke Fickell doesn’t know if Isaiah Mullens will play Saturday vs. Rutgers.
Was still limited last week.#Badgers

Mullens is still a question mark for Saturday after a knee scope before the season. Mullens, a graduate student, has played 23 games for the Wisconsin Badgers over his career, with a high in 2021 of 12 games. In 2021, he had 24 tackles and would be a welcome addition to the defensive line for Fickell.
Luke Fickell said he’s “cautiously optimistic” about Jake Renfro playing against Rutgers.
Cincinnati transfer did dress against Purdue.
Doesn’t anticipate #Badgers shifting around the OL yet to make room for him at center.

Renfro is a first-year Badger after transferring over from Cincinnati and could see his first start in a Badgers uniform this Saturday. The redshirt Junior spent all of 2022 on the shelf; however, in 2021, he was an anchor for the Cincinnati OL that helped them average the ninth most yards per play in the nation that season.
