The Green Bay Packers are reeling after their 15-9 defeat against the Detroit Lions. Many think the season is lost and the Packers should start focusing on draft position. While that may be true, this season could still answer a lot of questions about the future of Green Bay. One of those questions could be if Jordan Love has what it takes to be a legitimate quarterback in this league. Two current Packers think he already is one. De’Vondre Campbell and Dallin Leavitt both talked about how good Jordan Love currently is.
Campbell and Leavitt Praise Jordan Love
Defensive Back Dallin Leavitt:
I mean I think Jordan’s a great player. I think he’s a great teammate. You know, I’m not in the offensive meetings but I can see the way the ball comes out of his hands. I can see the way he is decisive in playing against our defense. I don’t know about ya’ll but I think we have a pretty good defense and he does a really good job for us in practice. He gives us a real look and it’s pretty impressive. He’s done some pretty impressive things.
Inside Linebacker De’Vondre Campbell:
He’s a starting quarterback. He’s better than a lot of starting quarterbacks in this league.

What Does This Mean Going Forward?
Aaron Rodgers on the hot seat? Absolutely not. The Packers are never going to bench their back to back reigning MVP. However, it could mean more playing time for Jordan Love if Green Bay gets eliminated from the playoffs. If Green Bay has nothing to play for (playoff wise), why not give Jordan Love significant playing time to see what he can really do? So far throughout his career we have just seen glimpses. Both good and bad, but glimpses. If Green Bay gives Love an opportunity to get real playing time, week after week, it could answer a lot of questions for this team’s future.

Dallin Leavitt, I’ve never heard of.
Campbell is a shadow of last year.
From what I’ve seen Love is a bust, but yeah….to try and salvage something from an ill-conceived draft pick, why not put him on the field.
