The Nashville Sounds will get some extra help today because Omar Narvaez and Trevor Rosenthal will begin rehab assignments, as stated above. Both hope to return healthy from apparent leg injuries and will join the AAA Nashville Sounds in Jacksonville for a road trip. Expect them to be back in a week roughly give or take. Both will play a key role in Brewer’s Postseason run.
Omar Narvaez, the Brewers All-Star Catcher, has had a slight regression compared to last season. The Veteran is due for an upbringing after this IL stint. He’s only posting a .687 OPS and 0.8 WAR. Hopefully, his return will be the boost that this Brewers Offense needs.
Trevor Rosenthal will look for some relief innings in his first appearance. He’s looking to get back to the big leagues after stints with the Oakland Athletics and San Francisco Giants systems. The minors shouldn’t be a challenge for him. A good project for this Brewers coaching staff. If he pans out in AAA, he can a solid relief guy at 32 years old.
The Nashville Sounds (66-34) play the Jacksonville Jumbo Shrimp (60-51), a Miami Marlins affiliate at 7:05 ET/6:05 CT. You can listen live through the MiLB App or watch live with MiLB TV.
