The Milwaukee Bucks continued their undefeated streak to start the season by knocking off the Oklahoma City Thunder 108-94 on Saturday night. Milwaukee is now 9-0 on the season. Due to this game being the second leg of back-to-back games, the Bucks ran out a very different starting lineup against the Thunder. Giannis Antetokounmpo sat out with left knee soreness and Grayson Allen came off of the bench. Replacing them in the starting lineup was Bobby Portis and MarJon Beauchamp. The Bucks certainly had to change their game plan a bit without Giannis, but it all worked out as well as they could have hope (for the most part).

Three Studs
Brook Lopez
Without Giannis on the floor, it was Brook Lopez who took on a huge part of the scoring load. He led the Bucks with 25 points on 10-16 shooting (4-9 from three). He also added three rebounds, an assists, a steal, and a block.
Brook dropped 25 points in 24 minutes tonight.

Lopez is truly having a renaissance type season. He is currently averaging 15.0 points, 6.6 rebounds, and 2.6 blocks per game. All of these would be his best in five seasons with the Bucks if he maintains his quality of play. Additionally, he is shooting a career-best 36.8% from three.
Grayson Allen
As mentioned previously, Grayson Allen came off the bench in a bit of a lineup adjustment. The result was Allen’s best game of the season. He was 6-8 from the floor, including 5-6 from three. Allen finished with 19 points, one rebound, one assist, one block, and two steals.

Jevon Carter
With Giannis sitting out, there had to be more players carrying the scoring load. Lopez’s 25 points surely helped, but Jevon Carter also had his best offensive game of the season to help the Bucks win. Carter had 18 points on 6-12 shooting, which included 5-9 from three. He also added two rebounds, a steal, and a block.
Jevon hit a season-high 5 three-pointers tonight.

Three Duds
MarJon Beauchamp
The Bucks’ first round draft pick was ice cold from the field in his first career start. MarJon Beauchamp was just 1-9 from the field, including 0-6 from three. He finished the game with two points, five rebounds, and a steal.
Jordan Nwora
To be fair, Jordan Nwora did have 12 points off the bench. However, he had another poor shooting night, going 4-10 from the floor and 1-5 from three. It isn’t even the shooting numbers that put him on this game’s dud list, though. Nwora consistently neglected passing to open shooters in order to take highly contested shots on his own. Granted, he did make some nice plays. However, he has to be more dedicated to getting his teammates involved.
George Hill
I’m getting nitpicky here. George Hill missed both of his free throw attempts. He is usually a great free throw shooter, so that was very out of the ordinary for him. He also had three turnovers, tied for the most on the team last night.
