Damian Lillard shocked the NBA world this morning when he requested a trade from the Portland Trailblazers. Despite what many fans want, he will not be coming to the Milwaukee Bucks. They are not on his list of desired teams, they have shown no interest, and, frankly, they do not have the assets to get it done.
The Milwaukee Bucks Are Not Damian Lillard’s Desired Destination

According to Shams Charania of The Athletic, the team that Lillard wants to be traded to is the Miami Heat:

That’s strike one against the Bucks. They are many things, but they are not Miami. The Heat, of course, are coming off an appearance in the NBA Finals. While the Bucks have won a Championship more recently than the Heat, that does not appear to matter to Lillard.
The Milwaukee Bucks Have Not Shown Interest in Damian Lillard, Nor Do they Have What Portland Wants in Return

ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski reported on Twitter that only three teams have expressed interest in trading for Lillard: the Heat, Los Angeles Clippers, and the Philadelphia 76ers.
The Heat, Clippers and 76ers are three teams that will have interest in exploring trades for Lillard, sources tell ESPN. The Blazers are expected to value deals that would bring them back young players and draft assets. https://t.co/5KM6EF4RRT

Well there’s strike two. The Bucks can’t very well trade for Lillard if they’re not interested.
And strike three is right there in that same tweet. The Trailblazers want young talent and draft picks back in exchange for the superstar. Those are two things the Bucks do not have in reserve. Sure, they have MarJon Beauchamp and their 2029 first round pick, but that’s it.
Jrue Holiday will not and cannot be part of any trade scenario because of that: the Trailblazers want youth.
Sorry Bucks fans; it’s just not going to happen.
