NFL free agent wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins was released from the Arizona Cardinals earlier in the offseason. He has already taken a visit with the New England Patriots and is now set to visit with the Tennessee Titans. It will be interesting to see how the visit goes.
DeAndre Hopkins could be used by New England or Tennessee because they both desperately need a wide receiver. But, would that be the right places for him? It feels like both of teams will not make it to the playoffs this season and Hopkins has stated that he wants to go to a contender.
So, what are some possible teams that he should sign with?
The 3 Best Landing Spots For DeAndre Hopkins Amid Visits
Kansas City Chiefs
The Kansas City Chiefs are the defending Super Bowl Champions and they don’t have a true No. 1 wide receiver. Patrick Mahomes is currently the best quarterback in the NFL and it appears as if nothing will stop him anytime soon after winning his second ring in the last four seasons.
DeAndre Hopkins as the true No. 1 wide receiver in this offense to go alongside Travis Kelce would be something else. Kansas City will likely win the AFC West again anyways this season, but this might be the best opportunity for him to win a ring.
Dallas Cowboys
The Dallas Cowboys have CeeDee Lamb and Brandin Cooks as their top two wide receivers. There are a lot of questions surrounding quarterback Dak Prescott, but a DeAndre Hopkins addition would help alleviate some. Prescott’s numbers increased when he had Amari Cooper for a few seasons, before he was traded away to the Cleveland Browns.
Hopkins would make this football team potentially the favorites over their rivals the Philadelphia Eagles in the NFC. Dallas is already one of the best teams in the NFL entering the season.
Baltimore Ravens
The Baltimore Ravens are trying to win it all since they did re-sign quarterback Lamar Jackson to a long-term deal. They drafted Zay Flowers out of Boston College in the first round of the 2023 NFL Draft to improve the receiver room and also signed Odell Beckham Jr.
DeAndre Hopkins would also help out this wide receiver room, but it would potentially turn into a circus if they signed him. There aren’t enough footballs to go around in that offense. However, the Ravens are always in the running for top-tier receivers.
