Free agent Quarterback Teddy Bridgewater could find himself a new home soon.
Via Ian Rapoport of the NFL Network, the Detriot Lions hosted Bridgewater for a workout on Monday and it’s reported that the Lions have had interest in Bridgewater for some time.

Teddy Bridgewater Would Be the Perfect Signing for the Lions
Assuming Bridgewater doesn’t sign, the Lions have four quarterbacks on the roster: Starter Jared Goff, Nate Sudfeld, rookie Adrian Martinez, and rookie Hendon Hooker, who was placed on the reserve/non-football injury list.
Those options would concern me if I’m a Lions fan. Bridgewater has shown to be a competent veteran backup and is a better option than Sudfeld and Martinez.
Hooker is likely going to be the quarterback of the future, but according to CBS Sports Writer Cody Benjamin Hooker is expected to miss all of training camp while rehabbing an ACL tear he suffered in his senior season at Tennnessee.
Under Dan Campbell, Detroit has carried three quarterbacks only once (in 2021, Detriot had Jared Goff, David Blough, and Tim Boyle). Last year the Lions kept two quarterbacks on the roster Goff and Sudfeld.
Teddy Bridgewater will be on year-to-year deals at this point. He won’t be a starting quarterback again, but he could make his money by being an effective backup quarterback.
