Following the dismissal of Lovie Smith, the Houston Texans have officially begun their search for the club’s next Head Coach.
Three-straight years of one-and-done coaches in Houston, the Texans will be looking for their first long-term appointment since the seven-season tenure of current Alabama Crimson Tide Offensive Coordinator, Bill O’Brien, who ran the club from 2014 through 2020.
Let’s take a quick look at the roller coaster history of head coaches for the Houston Texans.

Houston Texans Head Coach Prediction
The pick to become the next Head Coach of then Houston Texans is former Texans linebacker and current San Francisco 49ers Defensive Coordinator, DeMeco Ryans.
Perhaps the only thing that may deter the Texans from bringing in Ryans is that the Ryans and the Niners are expected to make a deep run into the playoffs, which would delay any potential interview or deal with the former All-Pro linebacker.
