On week six an NFL matchup has the Green Bay Packers vs the New York Jets. In Packers vs Jets the Packers (3-2) are favored over the jets(3-2). Lets dive into this matchup and as always I’m not telling you or advising you how to bet. I’m giving you my opinion with stats and facts. Always do your own research when betting on sports.
The jets will be looking to keep momentum going in the right direction and knock off Green Bay at Lambeau field on October 16, 2022. The Packers are heavily favored by 7.5 points spread. I not only don’t believe the home team will cover, but I won’t be surprised if the Jets walk out of Lambeau field with a victory.
Their last games
In their most recent contest, the Jets won against the Miami Dolphins, 40-17.Against the Dolphins, Zach Wilson completed 14 of 21 passes for 210 yards, with no touchdowns and no interceptions, for the Jets.
Facing the New York Giants in their most recent game, the Packers lost 27-22. The Packers just haven’t been able to have any continued success on offense. Although we got to have faith the two time reigning MVP will get things figured out with the offense.
Things to know before placing bets
Packers defense has been exposed by crossers or crossing routes all season. Their scheme of play back to keep the ball in front of you has made it easy to pick up yards on inside crossers in front of the safeties. This will give the Jets a huge advantage as their running game and short to medium passes could pick Green Bay apart.
Other statistics that point to the Jets being a good bet is so far this year they have covered the spread 3 out of 5 games. Last season the Jets hit the over four time. This season they have went over the point total three games.
My take
With the way these two teams have played I would but my bet on the Jets for +7.5. My opinion is that the Packers will not cover the point spread and to go a step further New York is very capable of pulling off the upset at Lambeau field. Packers vs Jets is your best chance of hitting on an underdog in week 6%.
