The Packers have started off the season strong with a 3-1 start. However, there are a lot of areas the Packers need to improve on. One way that the Packers can get some help in certain areas is by players coming back from injury. They may be getting some help this week. Packers RB Kylin Hill is eligible to come off the PUP list this week.

Hill started the season on IR which meant he would be out for at least the first four weeks of the season. Those fur weeks have passed and now Hill is eligible to come off the PUP list. Hill tore his ACL last October and has been rehabbing ever since. He wasn’t quite ready to go at the beginning of the season and the Packers put him on IR. Assuming his rehab is going well, it would not surprise anyone if Hill came off the PUP list this week.
Where Does He Fit?
The Packers will most likely not keep four running backs. This means that preseason standout Patrick Taylor will probably get bumped off the active roster to make room for Hill. The Packers coaching staff love what Hill has to offer. During an interview this past week, Matt LaFleur mentioned Hill’s explosiveness. Most likely Hill will make an impact on special teams. I have been trying to hang onto hope that Amari Rodgers can make an impact. He hasn’t through the first two weeks. Expect Hill to get a chance to show his skills as a punt and kick returner. If he can show some more skills in the returning game, he could easily usurp Amari Rodgers for the role.
I am most excited about what he brings to special teams. Hill is the type of player that can have a huge explosive return that swings the momentum of the game. He is also a great third running back in case Aaron Jones or AJ Dillon deal with an injury at some point this season. As of the writing of this article, he has not been activated. However, we should know this week whether Packers RB Kylin Hill will be coming off the PUP list.
